About WordPress
WordPress is the platform that I create all of my websites with. It allows you to edit your content in a word processor style interface from a password protected area online, eliminating the need for ftp programs and html editors. It’s by far the easiest to use and most capable at providing small to medium sized websites with basically anything you could imagine in the realms of a content management system.
My experience is that with other content management systems such as Joomla, or Drupal quickly become too complex for the average user, and though Joomla and Drupal are very powerful, when it comes to ease and grace for the average user, they fall far short of WordPress’ simple interface.
WordPress is an open-source project, which means that the software itself is FREE, meaning you don’t have to pay licensing fees for the software. This also means that developers from all over the world are constantly working together to refine the software and expand it’s amazing wealth of functionality plugins.
WordPress Allows us to create completely custom themes so that your website will be completely unique – giving your site more professional credibility.
Due to all of this, WordPress has become one of, if not the leading web system solutions available at this time.
